View Full Version : Low light sample
Took this picture in Oslo yesterday with my RD-1 and CV 28/1.9 (my only lens).
Handheld, ISO 800 and f 4.

Great moody shot.
I love the 28/1.9 on the R-D1, though I wish the framelines were a bit more accurate.
I think this was taken with the same lens:

It's a bit noisy since I pushed up the dark tones a lot, but I'm still impressed at how malleable the R-D1 files are in terms of exposure.
Thanks for the comment. Yes, the lens is fine on the RD-1 as your picture show as well. Here is another low light sample. Taken this week in Oslo with the same lens. ISO 1600.

Fantastic shots! I've been attempting to get a few good low-light shots as well. I'll see about uploading one later today
Do you guys use the noise-reduction option with slow shutter speeds?
Here's a couple Nokton 40/1.4

Yes, I use the noise reduction option but I have not done any tests to see the effect with and without the option.
