Hi all,
I bought these cameras KONICA AUTO S2, Canonet QL19 and I'd like to know how I can test to make sure all working fine.
Ps: I'm new 35mm user.
Thanks

Put a roll of film in each one. Shoot a shot at infinity focus, shoot a shot at minimum viewable focusing distance, shoot shots in bright light, in very dim light. shoot at fast shutter speed, slow shutter speeds, Have film processed, Evaluate negatives with a loupe.

Set the lens to 1m. Move towards the edge of a mirror, without turning the lens, until the edge (could be the frame) is in focus. Now move slightly to the side and turn the lens until the camera is in focus. The lens should read 2m.
Not foolproof on its own, but easy to do. And you can do it in a shop in front of a glass display case. Also, tracing paper taped to the film gate can give a good idea of potential focus problems.
And cycle through the shutter speeds and watch the shutter against a light.
