Epson 4990 glass removal and cleaning?

Yes, I've spent a 1/2 hr in the archives and on google and haven't found the answer...
How do I remove and clean the glass on my out of warrantee 4990?
I know there are two screws under cosmetic covers that have to be removed... and "possibly a few other screws," but I don't see any, are there other screws??? Once the screws are removed, how do you remove the cover (there must be clips and stuff to support the full length of case, right?). Once the cover is removed, is there any trick to getting the glass out and placed correctly?
THanks! I don't need photos or anything, but would like a few words describing the proceedure.
