Hello, fellow rangefinders!

I'm making a rangefinder database (more like a list)
So I have a few questions:

would this be useful?
is there already such list?
how much information would be needed?
suggestions?Rangefinder list (http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=p-5yuQKArENHiebdqXEBwJg) (seriously incomplete)

Thanks.

I'd suggest you contact the people at Camerapedia and build your list as part of their database but RF-specific.

serial numbers with manufacturing dates would be fantastic

That's a fantastic initiative! I'd definitely refer to it if you bring it to a broader coverage, even if incomplete.

I just typed up a suggestion to add a column with manufacturer names and then noticed those are in various tabs. Just so everyone knows.

So, I took another critical look at the list and well it sucks. And I decided to this properly. I'll make a decent website with database with ability to search, sort, add images and maybe comments.
But for this I would be grateful for your help. I need to know which camera parameters are important. Especially exposure meter and flash sync parameters which are quite unknown area for me. :)
For now I can think of these parameters:

Manufacturer
Model
Lens mount
Focal length
Max aperture
Min aperture
Aperture selection (auto and/or manual)
Shutter speeds
Shutter speed selection (auto and/or manual)
Shutter type
Flash sync
Exposure meter type
Exposure meter priority
Exposure meter range
Film speed range
Battery
Viewfinder magnification
Viewfinder framelines
Viewfinder information
Manufacturing years
Serial numbers
PictureThat's about it. Quite a list, will be a bitch to collect but I live by the rule "I you do something, make it worth doing" :D
So, what do you think?
