Just purchased a new Xpan II which should arrive this week. Can't wait! I have a lot of hikes planned for this summer and fall.

Must be nice, I bought the old one a month before the new come out, no crying icons so this will have to do :(

Nothing wrong with the original XPan. Still a great camera.

Yes it is. My old TX1 which is an Xpan was an incredible camera.

Well that depends, when you shoot weddings and you want to know what the shutter speed is on the fly, it can drive you nuts to look at the back all the time, specially if you need reading glasses. With flash photography is no problem, available light indoors is a diferent ball game.

Congrats, Jorge, I'm looking forward to hearing about your adventures with it. I'm sort of interested in that camera.

Taipei-metro,

That little trick only works when your subjects are not moving :D

And for stitching photos that include nearby objects, it doesn't match up well unless the camera was swiveled about the lens's (front?) node. XPan sounds better all-round.
