New to LTM cameras, but not the lenses. I attached my recently purchased 50 'cron to my IIIc,
and noticed the focus mark does not line up...

Is this normal?

Very, very common. Don't concern yourself with it. It does make it easier to see the markings on top of the lens barrel when using a big accessory finder such as the Imarect or a flash like the Vivitar 283.

I didn't know what to expect. Just doesn't look right on the camera. I put it on an adapter and did a couple of shots with the M8, and they appear to be fine. Thanks Al.
It is almost identical to the way the Summitar lines up on my IIIf RD. No problem.

1 to 2 O'clock is a normal place to have the index mark wind up.
