Age of my M6 TTL

Probably a fairly simple question, but I've tried the web and can't find the answer for myself.....

How old my M6 TTL? Its serial number is 2,733,8xx

Not sure,m but M6TTL's were built from 1998 - 2001 and the serial numbers of the M6TTL list stops in 1/1999 at 2482300 so yours is probably well into 2000 or 2001. I can't find a s/n list after 1999...

Check out Cameraquest. There are lists of serial numbers and dates for all M models.

CQ's list only goes as far as 1999

The HOVE Leica pocket book (7th ed.) list up to # 2,705,xxx and situates it in year 2000. So, yours is newer than that.

The last 999 LEICA M6 TTL made in december 2002 =Snr. 27360XX
available at Leica stockists' from March 2003.
2733 = 2001 or 2002 ???

I emailed leica nj with my serial number and it took a little time but they got to me eventually.

My 2550xxx was made in 1999

According Laney's Leica Collector's Guide 2nd edition.

Serial numbers 2731401 - 2736400 were used in 2001 for M6Ttl bodies.
