28mm viewfinder

Has anyone tried shooting with a 28mm lens on an R2 without an external viewfiner?

I haven't used the R2 but have an R and use it with the 28mm without the viewfinder. I have not found it to be a problem. Gandy's website states the the viewfinder is almost as wide as the 28 if you look beyond the 35mm frame. I don't have the 28 viewfinder so I can't say exactly that it is accurate, but , again, I haven't found it to be a problem.
