Tiffany & Co Jewelers have a new ad campaign called "Some Style Is Legendary". Check it out and if you can take your eyes off the model, name that camera and lens:
http://www.tiffany.com/default.aspx?iq_id=5607777&omcid=G598&siteid=1
Note, the Tiffany ad uses Flash and they have several photos, only one of which has a camera in it. You might have to reload a few times to see the image I'm talking about.

I don't know my screw mount bodies very well but that looks to be a 35/3.5 Summaron.
It's a nikon lens but I don't know about the body
but I don't know about the body
I love the body but the face is not bad either :D
Cheers!

It looks like a post 1946 "flat top" Leica IIIC and a Nikkor f3.5/35mm
Tom
I think that Tom E. nailed it. The lens certainly looks like Nikkor on my small lap-top screen.

Looks like they've changed the ad image already! Too many RFF perverts were flooding their server, I guess.

Hit refresh and the image changes.

... if you can take your eyes off the model...
Now I know why they use the term "model" -- they look like plastic mannequins thanks to the heavy handed Photoshopery.

Thankfully they didn't Photoshop the IIIc into an M8!

True. They creep me out. Maybe that's the intent? :p

ohh ohh after a second look that shutter speed dial looks a little wide...........hahahahha it might be a IIIF? LOL!!!!!! :D
Ohh and everyone please don`t misunderstand, I`m not hijacking this thread.....

.....But, I just think MORE photographer`s should use gals and Camera`s together in projects - this was a session I shot for a Lingerie company using a Leica as a accessory -
Florida model Candice Marie and Leo B`s beautiful and all original 1945 US Army issued Leica IIIC K - back last year when I still owned it using it as a prop - nice props huh? *She`s admiring the Patina*

Has anyone ever noticed that whenever an advertiser wanst to show a real camera they use and old film rangefinder in their pictures? As for the model - don't know the rangefinder and the other model isn't my type either.
/T
Tom's model is HOT! Tiffanys?....NOT!...but I'll take the camera.:)

Absolutely right. Perhaps they are trying to attract the same crowd that buys latex blow up women....The camera looks more lifelike than the woman.
I've seen the large print ad in September British Vogue. The lens definitely says "Nippon Kogaku" but I couldn't tell what body it was.

I saw a life-size poster of the ad in San Francisco today. The lens is indeed labeled Nippon Kogaku 3.5cm f=1:3.5. No visible insignia on the body, sorry.

And I would have bet it was a IIIg Leica...
The lens is definitely NOT Leica. Glad to see my instincts confirmed here.
The model is pretty, but I doubt she can smile. Her skin looks too tight!

Never saw such a IIIG, but must admit I had problems reloading the site, therefore here is the pic so one can study better

Geeze Folks it`s a Leica IIIC or a IIIF with a Nippon Kogaku 35mm...........what`s the big deal? LOL!!!!!!! :D
...........should have been a Stepper IIIC with a Xenon, but then who would look at the model?????
And typical she doesn`t know how to hold a camera, hate to stereotype, but I work with models all the time and you think after seeing cameras being pointed at them for years and years and years they`d know how to hold one.........Not! ;)
*I have to put my PinUps though a crash course on , "how to hold a vintage camera" *

You can download the image as a desktop.
go here.
http://www.tiffany.com/Seasonal/Modules/SSIL/Default.aspx?hppromo=SLHP12
Click the image of the girl with the Leica
Let the next screen load. and then mouse over the girl and you'll have a little menu with an option to download.
Largest is 1400x1050 =(
These new Tiffany ads are all over Hong Kong, some blown up very large at bus and tram stops. The lens is certainly a Kogaku, so wouldn't it make sense that the body is a Nicca 3A or F or similar model? Why mount a Kogaku on a Leica? That would be a cross-cultural affair! :p

i think the reason why she's holding the III so awkwardly is to show off the other bling... personally i think they should have used an M3 with a collapsible summicron for the ad. sorry ltm'ers :D
I was a model for a shoot a long time ago for a professional rag and the photographer had a closet full of props and he just handed me one. No hidden agenda, no conspiracy, no big deal.

i don't think the shoot itself was taken with films. too sad.
I'd say it's a IIIf, as I believe I can see the flash synch dial under the shutter speed dial.
I'm pretty sure the model is Gemma Ward, an Aussie. She's been described as having 'alien beauty'.
I spotted this too a few weeks back and posted this on the Leica Forum
http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/leica-collectors-historica/64125-leica-iiif-used-tiffany-co-advert.html
Camera should have a 35mm viewfinder fitted to add abit of credibility
Cheers

The model is russian, and named Sasha Pivovarova.

Here's a shot of the poster taken with my cell phone. So is there a definitive answer as to what the camera is?

Camera may be a Leotax, Nicca, or early Canon too.

Look carefully at the ring under the shutterspeed knob, its a IIIf, others than Leica do not have that ' black' or 'red' dial for flashlight.
