There are two sync cords for the black dial Contax IIa and IIIa. Cord 1361 is for bulbs (M) and 1366 is for electronic (X) .

I can never seem to find a 1366 at a decent price but 1361 cords are easy to find and are cheap.

Does anyone know if a 1361 cord can be converted to syc electronic flash correctly? If so who or how is it done?

Thanks!

Try these guys. I have used them for Graphic cords. They have a custom shop. I have both a 1366 and a 1361 cord but I don't know what the difference in them is, sorry.

Henry Scherer may also be of some assistance. He cleaned/calibrated my 1361 and 1366 cords and is familiar with the inner workings of each.

Thanks! My IIa is on Henry's list for an overhaul (3 month back log!). I will drop him a note.

It's worth the wait - Henry is very thorough.
