View Full Version : Anyone having trouble finding C-41 Developer?
I am talking about the straight developer vs. Developer/replenisher. It seems no one is shipping it for a reasonable fee anymore.
I may be interested in working a quantity group buy in the New England area to get the total down to around $17-18 per gallon.
PM me if interested (RFF Email doesn't work!)
Thanks

$10 is not a reasonable fee? That's how much the Tetenal 15-L kit is at B+H.

It may be reasonable shipping but an E6 kit won't help much with C-41 film.

When I used to use C-41, the developer was always dev/replenisher. As I recall, you mix up the replenisher and add a very small amount of developer starter?
I don't remember exactly, but I have the mixing instructions somewhere around here. I'll take a look. Also, my local pro shop didn't carry the color chemicals in stock, but had to order direct from Kodak. Have you looked into that?
They're usually quite helpful, especially if you have the stock number for the particular chemical and size that you want. I would think that the shipping would be less to new england too, since they always shipped from NY.

It is more trouble to use the replenisher and the straight developer for my 1-shot processor (Phototherm). I may have top go that route and do some testing to dial the process in at some point, though.
