I use a Carl Zeiss 2.8/20 (SLR) with a similar adapter from Novoflex. No probs.
You know it has no RF coupling - but on lenses < 28mm it would be no problem.
The single disadvantgae in my eye is that a SLR lens is normally huger than a RF lens.

I got an adapter from Cameraquest which was Rf coupled. You could determine the distance with the Rf and transfer the distance to the lens. simple and works nicely for the wideangles, even for the 80-200 zoom.
