Hi,

If, like me, you trapped your Leica USB cable under a chair leg and then sat on the chair, and if, like me, you have an old Motorola Razr USB lead which you kept hold of despite smashing your phone against your living room wall two years ago, then your luck is in. The lead is excactly the same as Leica's and will serve as a replacement.

It's in the drawer where you keep your stockings and tights, by the way.

hehe. This post almost convinces me to buy an M8.

Actually USB is an universal standard and there are millions of leads that fit out there.

USB might be universal, Jaapv, but other end of the lead isn't.

Sorry to disappoint you, but mini USB- I've got about ten card-readers, external drives, nav systems, cameras, mobile phones, etc that take it. There are afaik four standarized USB connectors, and the M8 uses the most common of them.

Why would I be disappointed, Jaapv? I think it's great that you've got loads of USB cables. I really do. It's just that I only had two others, one for an old phone, and one for a lumix (which didn't fit the M8, to my surprise, given the Leica/ Panasonic relationship.) I'm just trying to be helpful.
