In my house it would be your birthday, Xmas, New Years, or you just got a new daughter/wife/girl friend. I guess a new camera in hand would count too.

It has kind of a Fear and Loathing in Havana look!

Nice photo. I gave up smoking many years ago. I haven't given up photography.

I envy you the Havana. I don't evny you the Leica.

To each his own. :D

Don't you dare light that cigar. Your camera will stink forever (see thread on used cameras and cigarette smoke). You are reducing its resale value!

The few Cubans I've had were a little stale and dry.....oh sorry! You're talking cigars...mmm

Is that 8M made in Cuba, or is this the way the photo is supposed to look?

Now that’s a M8. Is that a MP on the table? + you’ve got some very cool lens setting around. Anything special? Backwards it’s still a smoken shot. Bill

Its not an MP but a Konica Hexar RF - served me well in Cuba
Here is a photo it took I think the same day as the Leica self portrait

The lenses are a 50 Cron (on the M8), a 21 and 28 Elamarit and the CV 12 and the Nockton 25 f1.2

The cigars are Bolivas, but I stocked up on some Romeo & Juliets and Cohibas too

As for the cigars, never acquired the taste, tried many times, but the CV 12 I like a lot.
A fun lens, it makes the M8 a point and shoot.
