View Full Version : Vulcanite upgrade, a good idea?
I imagine many of you have gotten the recent Leica email about the upgrade program. In addition to the quiet shutter and the sapphire crystal, there is "vulcanite leatherette" available. One thread on another forum indicated that this might be helpful to those of us who occasionally feel that our grip on the M8 is not what we would hope.
Any thoughts?
I'll end up getting griptac eventually I'm sure. I'd pass. As you could just go a less expensive and more personal route with cameraleather.
Just installed Griptac on M6 today and it is EXCELLENT. Substitutes M-grip for me...
Cameraleather. I have both mine in kid leather. This is one boat Leica missed, I fear.

I am certainly not planning to pay leica anything for this service. The grip is particularly poor quality in comparison to that found on other M's.

This Luigi Leicatime ½ case works just fine for me.

Camera Leather is inexpensive and very nice. Makes you think the Leica is worth what you paid for it.
Thanks folks, looks like I will be going with griptac from CameraLeather.com
