Got my P today--wonderful shape, except the vertical alignment is off a bit. Does anyone know how to adjust it?
Congrats on your new camera.
You have to unscrew the cover ring of the round RF eye from the front.
Behind is a screw around the eye that you can twist slightly for the adjustment.

Wow, that was fast, thanks!
No problem.
Adjusting vertical alignment might affect the horizontal one on the P. Here are better instructions than mine, also including how to align horizontally:

It is very easy, Karen Nakamura's site is where I learned about it. You will probably have to re-adjust the horizontal alignment AFTER getting the vertical corrected.

The site uses paged frames, so Click on "Canon P".

Weird--I've read that Karen Nakamura page a dozen times and never got that far down.
I adjusted it very easily a few minutes ago--it's perfect now. Not sure if my horizontal is off or not, as the lens I have on it now is a Jupiter-9, which needed shimming on my Bessa w/adapter...so I'll try tomorrow with a lens I know doesn't need a shim, and then readjust the horizontal.
Nice to have a camera where these things are easy to access. The P feels wonderful--I'll take it out shooting for the first time over the weekend.
