View Full Version : Crooked Framelines in VF?

Has anyone experienced crooked framelines in a CV viewfinder? Specifically, I'm talking about the 25mm one, which is similar to the 21mm and 15mm ones (plastic case).

The brightlines in the finder are skewed counterclockwise by a couple of degrees. If I line up an image level in the VF, the camera will end up tilted and the shot will be crooked.

Is it relatively trivial to open up the finder and fix this, or am I SOL?

I should have been more clear. I'm talking about an accessory viewfinder.

It's the CV 25mm... Thanks! I didn't realize it was so simple. Unfortunately, I think I threw a couple other pieces slightly out of alignment, so I'll have to do it again.

For anyone who wonders what it looks like inside a CV finder:

The rearmost 2 elements are the ones that can go askew.

The rear element has the brightlines on it.
The element in front of that has the mirrored frame.
