Hi All
I have just been inspired by all your enthusiasm with RF,
I have dipped into the market and purchased my first Rf
Yashica 35GTN. And at the same time I have joined your forum.
Any advise on this camera and compatible flash would be great.
Regards
Cpitch

I think I had one when i went to Japan in 1984. The slides were awesome. Enjoy.

Welcome! You might want to search the Yashica RF forum. There are many fans of your new rf on that forum. I'm sure you'll find the answers you're looking for there. I have several Yashica rangefinders. They're surprisingly good cameras, but unfortunately frequently give the innocent purchaser GAS (i.e. gear acquisition syndrome) in the long run.

You wont find a better camera to start out with. Great choice!

Try the Yashica Guy for some great info.

Thanks, a bit overwhelming to be sure. But I'm taking my time with it.

A great choice to begin. I use mine with an old 283 flash and it works well.

You'll love it! I have a GSN and a Minister III, and they take great photos. I carry them when I don't have my other equipment with me.
I don't know where you're located, but if in the U.S.A., check your local Habitat for Humanity establishment. They sell extra and left over building supplies. I found kitchen cabinets there for a song. Went real well in my darkroom. They don't all match, but who cares in the dark. They're functional, and with a little paint, look good.

Just shot a roll of Ilford XP2 pulled to 200 ISO for the first time. I really liked the results.
