RULES:
*FSU body and FSU lens RF cameras, MF cameras and scale finders allowed -
SLRs not allowed
*2 photos per user (both b&w and color allowed) - photos could be taken before may 5th, it would be good that they havent appear on rff before
*you can upload photos from may 5th - june 15th
*voting is starting on june 16th and lasts until july 5th
*you vote with a vote button under photo - but be careful - you have only one vote
*winner is the photo with most votes

Allow me some questions (not to initiate a debate - I will take your answers as final)
Only RF cameras ? Scale-finders allowed? TLRs allowed?
Should the photos be taken after May 5th or it is possible to enter older photos?
Should the photos be original (I mean,never showed at RFF before)?
Please understand that I don't want to complicate the rules. I just believe that it is better to clarify things in advance, instead of causing disapointment at a later time.

Could I ask a question about the "rating" policy?
My understanding of what you said is that you rate your favorite 10, your next favorite 9, etc. So your tenth favorite photo should recieve a rating of 1, and your eleventh favorite photo no rating at all?
Wouldn't this result in some very fine photos being given very poor ratings (ie a 1 or 2 vote?) It seems here that having 1 star would be an honor but elsewhere on the forum it would be an insult

yes you are right - we could change to secret voting - people could send their list of 10 photos to me and i will count votes. or we can use that option to vote for one photo in gallery.

when i thought about it - i decided for vote button - i think people will be too lazy to choose 10 photos and rate them and then email votes... maybe the easiest way is best for all...
only two uploads for 5 days?? i hope more people will join this...

I have to confess that when I'm participating in things like this I'm one of those that wait until the last minute to submit. Not because I'm lazy... ;) just that I want to be sure that I've selected my _best_ image. And since there is a lot of time left to submit, that _best_ image might not have happened yet--I'm still taking pictures!

Well, I'll post my second picture, since it seems unlikely I'll be able to shoot another roll soon.
Is there a prize for the winner.... a one way ticket to Moscow perhaps.... :-)
I'm going to see if I have anything that merits entry against you FSU pros ;-)
unfortunately we dont have any prizes for winner...

I've posted some photos already. Maybe there'll be some more soon, but no clue yet.
Doesn't seem like many of you FSU fanatics are up for this...
Perhaps it could be extended (and expanded)... I'll donate a
broken Zenit 11 if need be ;-)
^ I agree. What's the rush? Wait until it's over before lamenting the poor participation :)

Thanks for organizing this contest again this year nzeeman. It's a fantastic way to keep the FSU rangefinders in use.
