View Full Version : "Note by Note" a movie to see.
It's an inspiring story that follows the hand-crafting of a single Steinway concert grand. Covers the wood selection in Sitka to the piano's destination at Carnegie Hall. And all the loving work in between.
Most relevant to this forum are interviews with pianists who talk about their relationship with their instruments. You will recognize what's said in the movie. You heard it here first.
Clearly, selection of the right tool and the best tool is absolutely crucial. but ya still gotta play it.

Sadly your post is invisible since you made it white for some reason.

Not sure what Steinway pianos have to do with philosophy of photography, and I can't quite say I agree with your last point, but c'est la vie.

I'd explain (my view of) the relationship and the point; but I'm not sure that's the purpose of your comment. Perhaps if others inquire as well. . .

I have seen the movie, it is inspiring to see these machines still being built in New York City, in the same fashion they have been for many many years.
