What is the best way to keep the screws on the lens flange of my IIIg from working themselves loose. I tighten them up, but they work themselves loose after about a month. My first guess would be to use Locktite.

Thanks for the help.

Use Locktite, but use BLUE, so you can take the camera apart. Let the Locktite dry before putting it back together. You do not want to get any inside the body.

Put it on the screws, not in the holes. I am being careful, since I cannot remember if the holes are drilled through on your camera.

Also make sure you degrease the screws and holes w/ Acetone or Lacquer Thinner before you apply the loctite. A drop of Loctite is all you need--not a flood.

Possibly silly question. Wouldn't a dab of nail varnish do the job?

Thanks for the advise and the reminders. I will try to find my little bottle of Loctite Blue tonight. Hopefully I don't have to straighten out the garage to find it. At least I do know where the lacquer thinner is.
