Hi, I have a closeup adapter for a mamiya 6. Would like to sell it. Does anyone have any idea how much it should go for? It's in mint condition, but few camera stores in London ever carried them when they stocked Mamiya 6 it seems. Not a very popular accessory, but one I found very useful (its much smaller than the awkward contraption made for the Mamiya 7). Any comments or advice about where to sell it and for how much welcome!

From the lack of responses, I guess this is a super-rare item. Granted, no one buys a rangefinder to do close-up work, but the close-up adapter was good for portraits. Advice from Jim Watts was that they go for about $400 internationally (thanks!)— I am not completely sure whether he meant an adapter for the mamiya 6 or the 7. In the end, I sold mine last week for £160 (about $300 nowadays). I think it was a fair price.
Again, I am very interested to know if anyone has ever come across this item.

How close can you focus using the attachment? I have both a 6 and a 7 and have considered buying the closeup attachment for the 80mm to use on the 7. Wondered if I should get it and how close it focuses?

I have, and use the close up attachment for the Mamiya 6. It is great for the times where you need a larger image on film, and the lenses wont let you get closer. It works with the 75mm on the M6 and I think on the 80mm on the M7.
I forget the exact close focusing distance. I can test it at home tonight if I find time.

Hi Scotia,
The prices I saw were for an adapter for a 6 and that was dealer prices. So $300 sounds a fair for a private sale. Seems they are quite rare, at least in the U.K. and I have still not seen one in the flesh. When the 6 was still current in the U.K. I asked Johnson Photopia (the importers) about them and they said they were only available to special order here.

Closest focus of the 75mm lens with the close up attachment is approx. 16"
