View Full Version : ND Filter for 50mm Summitar or Elmar?

I've been searching on the interweb all weekend, and can't find a definitive answer. I thought I might turn to you guys and see if I can get more info.

Anyway, are there ND filters made for the 50mm Summitar f/2 and the 50mm Elmar f/3.5? I haven't turned anything up, so I'm guessing these don't exist. Can someone confirm this? Thanks in advance!

You'll need to use E39 adapters with each lens. The Elmar takes a SOOGZ adapter and the Summitar requires a SNHOO filter adapter.

There's also Series adapters-either 5 or 6.

I don't know if Leica made any Summitar ND filters, but there are some great suggestions and ideas for using filters on a Summitar (ie, SNHOO, series 6 adapters, etc.) on this previous discussion:
