Hi - anyone heard of a Leica-made LTM-M adapter? I have a Voigtlander 28/90 and my M6 28 framelines encompass the 90 framelines, while the 50 is with the 75 framlines.
Thanks in advanceDavid

I bought one from an ebay seller that listed it as a 28/50. He is a major seller of these things. I pointed out his error and confirmed exactly what I would be getting. I got a 50/75 which is what I wanted.

Actually, Jay was it really an error? Today we would call it a 50/75, yes. But it seems to me that I saw that adapter on eBay a few days ago, and it was indeed marked 28/50. Now, why would that be? Because in the days of the M3, M2, and even the M4 and M5, the camera had no 28mm frameline; but there already were 28mm lenses, to be used with an external finder. Now, since the cmaera had no 28mm frameline, it really would not matter which adapter was used to mount the lens. So: if Leitz wanted to choose one adapter to mark as a candidate for the 28mm lens, whcih adapter would make the most sense? Not the 35mm, because that one is already marked 35/135. That left the 90 or the 50. Today the logical one to select would the 90, since it does also bring up the 28mm frameline. But I imagine they did not foresee an M model with 28mm frameline coming; didn't realize there would be a 28/90 pairing someday; and so selected, arbitrarily, the 50 adapter as the one to mark with the additional focal length of 28mm.

That is my armchair analysis; I could be wrong. But have you received the adapter yet? Is it marked 28/50? Or is it marked 50/75? Not sure from your wording.

Thank you both of you. Rob if you were referring to me then no I haven't got it yet. It is marked 28/50 (sorry about the wording).

Rob is right, I have the same adapter 2,8-5cm. It comes from M3 era and was for wide (with external viewfinder) and normal lens , showing plain 50mm framelines on M3.

I had an M adapter, made by Leitz, which was marked 2,8 cm and 5 cm.
