Ah, protest! Count me in.
Essentially, we want to see your interpretation of street photography. The point of the project as I envisioned it originally was to show as many types of street photography as possible.
Lovely, I'll contribute for sure.

Stephanine,
Maybe you can edit your first post to include the rules. Seems like this is "the" thread so consolidating it might be in order.
From
http://www.rangefinderforum.com/foru...ad.php?t=56694
The 2008 Street Photography Project is born out of a desire to show the world street photography as a legitimate art form. I am excited and honored that I will take part. Please keep in mind the rules while shooting, few as they are.
- Photos must be taken within the time frame of the project, April 1 - June 30.
- Photos must be taken with some form of rangefinder camera.
- Details such as equipment used and/or film/dev/processing should not be posted with the photo. This is to allow the photos to speak for themselves.
- Photos should be posted in the gallery between April 1 and July 15. This gives an extra two weeks to finish up processing and scanning if needed.
I am leaving the interpretation of the term Street Photography up to you. This is to get the widest interpretation of the genre possible. I would also love it if you would provide an explanation of what street photography means to you as a forward to your images in the gallery. This is optional, but highly recommended. It will allow people to better understand your vision.
The main objective is to get out there, shoot your rangefinders, and create some unforgettable images. This will make the project successful.

Hi, I just wanted to share that participating in this Project is having the positive effect of getting me out there on the streets with my camera AND TRYING HARDER.
I've shot about two rolls of Tri-X since April 1st, and while I haven't processed them yet, I have a good feeling about a couple of the shots. This morning I was on bus in Copenhagen with my M4-P and a 25mm Biogon, and two young Muslim women in headscarves were reading the newspaper, and on the front page the headline happened to be (in Danish): "Church Trying to Sell Jesus to the Muslims". I managed to get off three shots at about 1.5 meters distance without them or anyone else on the bus noticing a thing.
So, who knows if I'll get anything REALLY good in the next couple of months, but I'm grateful already for having decided to participate.
Thanks Stephanie for getting this to happen!

Late to the party... count me in. Now I have to figure out how to post photos somewhere here. I know... I'll get my 6-yr. old to figure it out - she's got the computer thing down cold. :-)
If we want to post a bit of text about our ideas of what "street photography" is, does that get posted in the same place as the photos?
I'll play, too. Or is it too late?
I would like to participate as well... sounds fun.

In for what? I think she talked this up and then left. You must have never met Stephanie. I might be wrong but there probably isn't anything to be "in" on.

Women, they motivate and get you excited and then they leave. How typical.
