Cool photos - what lens did you use to get this close? After all Leica is not known for it's telephoto capabilities, yet these are very nice.!
Visoflex and Noflexar-T 400 5.6, the Leopard Tele-Elmar 135/4.0 (notice the "unusable" ;) :D low light capabilities of the M8....)
I concur very cool results. You make me want viso again :)

Holy cow! You took those closeups with a rangefinder? Unreal. But even with a 400mm lens you must have been very close. How close?
/T
I dunno... Maybe five or ten meters... But I can get closer: A LOT:

Nice Jaap, very, very nice. First you convince me to buy the M8, now you're convincing me to go on Safari in Africa. You just won't be satisfied until I'm flat broke will you? :D :D
OK my friend, my turn: LOOK HERE (http://www.jaguarxf.com/default.asp)
BTW I use my 400 Telyt (mine's the Leica f/6.8 Viso version) on my 20D most of the time, even though I have the EF 400/5.6 sitting in the closet.

Not too hard:

Hah! I have an antidote - the unreachable: (lifted from LUF - posted by Luigi Bertolotti)

I guess the Visoflex is pretty accurate in it's composing and focusing (?).
Very nice work!
Ara
Never would have taken an M8 on safari! Well done! Which lenses did you use?
I used 28/2.8 asph, Tele-Elmar 135 4.0 and NoflexarT 400/5.6 in Visoflex for this series. The Visoflex is fitted with a Brightscreen matte screen, which shows 1.3 framelines.

Drat, I can't open it without a LUF account. The antidote for me is that they're only importing gas V8 versions of the XF into the US.
FYI- It was a beautiful shot of an even more beautiful Ferrari Testarossa....
Mmmm. Back in maybe 84-86, I used to pass a small factory on the way to my office. It was owned by 2 partners and each one had a Testarossa parked out front, a red one and a silver one. All they did was re-wind small electric armatures and re-sell them as refurbs.
Jaap,
The sunset picture is impressive. A VERY nice color gradation. I think it is impressive for digital.

Thanks, Steve. Without starting a polemic, I have been shooting film for over fifity years now, but no way could I ever have gotten that sunrise shot on film. The contrast gradient was utterly impossible for analog.
I like the cloud detail in the light.
