View Full Version : Mamiya TLR Series
Hello, I own a Mamiya c3 and am relatively new to the TLR world..
What awaits me here using this tool?
Any tips from other Mamiya users? ;)
A Mamiya C330 and 3 lenses were my first medium format kit and I still occasionally use it. If you're shooting B+W and printing yourself and have only used 35mm in the past you are in for a pleasant surprise... Your prints will be SO much clearer, sharper and seem to have a better tonal range.
The system is not the most user friendly or compact but having interchangable lenses is pretty nice. Also, the cost and availability of components for the system are very reasonable.
Go take some pictures!

I loved the Mmiya C330F that I owned in college. i had to sell it due to povery, so my family could eat a couple years after I graduated, but I have always regretted having to sell it. I did my graduation project for my art degree with it. It has an incredible close focus ability (get the Paramender for this if you do a lot of close-up work). The lenses I had were VERY sharp in the center but they were all soft in the corners. That was dissapointing, because I have an old Rolleiflex that is sharp all the way to the corners. But in most photos this never showed.
These were shot with it:

These were all shot with the 80mm lens, but I also had a 135 and 55mm lens. Damn I miss that Camera! I should go buy another...I can afford it now.
@Bryce: Thanks! Yes, it's kinda built with a "heavy metal." Will try to post some newbie shots ;)
@dhon: post your shots too hehe
@chris: your shots were awesome... and i hope to get shots like that with my Mamiya too. by the way i only have the 105mm lens.
