Best Ever Photography Magazines?

About six months after moving into a small flat my photo magazines were still in their boxes and so today I finally got round to sorting them out. In some cases it was like meeting old friends, which got me to thinking about which were the best of the bunch. And so, after much deliberation, here is the roll of honour:

Of course this list is limited to what I have collected but it would be interesting to hear others' opinions.

I do not keep current issues of any magazines except Lens Work, which I no longer subscribe to (too expensive) and Shots.

I no longer subscribe to AP, the UK-to-US postage became prohibitive.

I just discovered SilverShotz, so far, so good, but I don't know if they are 'great' or not.

Shots Magazine is my favorite.

I do keep old 1940's and 1950's issues of Modern Photography, and others of that sort. They were good then. Now the US magazines are pretty much just garbage. Except for Shots.

'Camera' UK late seventies.

Nothing to do with cameras, and everything to do with photography.

"Camera 35" had a good run in the US in the 1970s. Sadly, my set succumbed to dampness problems.

Camera [Swiss] the english edition; I've copies. The printing was great, especially when they used letter press, gravure and offset and on good paper - sheet fed. One issue expliained its printing. I have copies from mid-70's through its end.

I've never seen a magazine printed as weel and with great content.

Got to admit I was quite devastated when it folded. The pinnacle of photo magazine publishing but I guess it was just too good for the market :(

In English, it would be a close tie betwen

Prefix http://www.prefix.ca/

They among the only magazines left with a broad circulation that focus on images and contemporary artists, rather than the hobbyist and/or the gearhead. Plus, their reproduction quality is outstanding. They also feature decent critical writing, which is a rarity.

Prefix is Canadian, so it might be a little hard to find outside North America, but I have to root for the home team...
