A few days ago I decided that it was time to take the bull by the horns and get myself a Bessa R. I opted to go for the R for various reasons, one key factor being the LTM mount, as I have a couple of local sources where occasionally one can pick them up fairly cheaply.
Another factor (unsurprising as I am a student) was the price. I paid about £130 for it, which I think was a reasonable price (Did I get a good deal?). For that I recieved the Bessa R (looking almost new), a Jupiter 8 with lens hood, a Leica strap and a Neoprene case.
I need to scan the negs from the test roll, but so far my impressions are that I have got myself a cracking piece of kit. It is light, easy to use and looks damn lovely.

Hi Tom,
I'm sure will enjoy that camera, bought mine at the beginning of 2006 and I'm still using it and having a lot of fun with.
Don't forget to share some photos then,
ciao

Here is a site that has a self repair tutorial for a common problem. I have never had this problem, but I treat my cameras softly and advance the film slowly.

Good luck. I use it for everything that can go b&w. Good deal.
The Leica strap is redundant
