I have been curious about this lens since I first heard about it a week or so ago. Does anyone have one, can someone post some images taken with it? I kow that it is soft wide open and I was thinking about getting one at some point to use as a speciality portrait lens. Thanks in advance

I have the 85/1.5 canon. Supposidly the canon has a better reputation than the summarex, but I haven't really compared the two. He is my flickr group with the canon images.....

Puts has detailed info about the Summarex in Leica_M-Lenses_-_Their_Soul_and_Secrets_en.pdf, a document that you
can download. Tom A has posted some Summarex photos on Flickr.
Seems like a great portrait lens to me.

Roland.

Is a very expensive rare lens, excellent for portrait, but i think the Summicron 90/2 first type is sensibly better. I also have a Nikkor LTM 85/2, very very good lens.
Ciao.

is this collectionable lens? Funny that some says that another lenses are better.. How about signature? I love old lenses with strong characters
