Hello,

I'm thinking about getting one of these, but there is one thing left which bothers me. It's interface uses usb 1.1, right?

Now, that's slow, but on the Nikon website (http://www.nikon.co.in/productitem.php?pid=63-7d71bd903f) is stated, that a full resolution scan with no filters online lasts 41 seconds. Well, this would be okay for me.

But... I wonder if the data tansfer is already included, or if I have to wait another - say - 2 minutes until the big file is on my computer...

Can anyone of you guys can say something about this?

I have a Coolscan IV-ED. Never timed it, but 41 seconds sounds about right - including transfer to the PC.

It isn't the fastest scanner in the World, but image quality is very good. I'm very happy with mine.

I bought it brand new some years ago - before the V was introduced. Never had any issues. Make sure you download the latest version of Nikon Scan. I'm running Windows XP, not sure how it works with Vista.

I believe you can get one very cheap these days. Have fun!
