Help Me Sell My CV 90mm

Ok, I think everyone agrees that the CV90mm f3.5 is a sharp lens. I bought it as a portrait lens for my R3A. Unfortunately, I've failed to produce any decent results.
I hit the focus point well enough, but for all of the other reasons that photos fail...mine did.
Anyway, it's up for sale. I have a question from a potential buyer about suitability of the lens on a short baseline camera like the R3A.
So...I need to see you portrait shots taken with the 90mm f3.5 and your R3A...to show it can be done and just needs a better RF photographer than me to get it done.

I used the CV90/3.5 on a Hexar RF, and even though its viewfinder has an even smaller magnification than the R for which the lens was originally designed, focussing was never a problem. Something you've already confirmed with your R3A..

What made me decide to sell the 90 was the framing. On a 0.6x finder, the 90mm frame lines were so small that I had big problems composing.. I wouldn't be surprised if a 1x finder makes framing a 90 is a lot easier.

But if your buyer already has an R3A, nothing should keep him/her from bringing up the 90mm frames and see whether they're comfortable enough work with..

the R2 A / M or R3 A / M will all focus the 90/3.5 accurately.
they were designed with that in mind.

the R4 A/M on the other hand, no.

I have repeatedly and reliably focused a 90/2.8 at close distance, wide open on R3a.
Not sure if you want examples, since it's a different lens. But focusing the 90/3.5
you can for sure on that camera.

Erm, I think he's hoping for pics shot with the Lanthar so that he can use the images in a sale to promote the 90mm he's selling.

Course I'd verify I had the photographer's permission before doing something like that, let alone it doesnt fit well with folks to use an example not taken with the actual lens for sale. (I don't mean just with a CV90, but with the "actual" lens for sale as one copy may not fairly represent another when selling it).

No, not wide open or there would have been better blur in the background. I very rarely if ever shoot wide open - just not my style!

I've now tried the cv75 and the 90. Both were good. I'm just not liking tele on a RF.

i think i may be in the same position.
i used to like the 90 on my former cle and used it quite a bit but since the advent of my liking wide angles i just can't seem to be comfortable with a longer lens. i thought maybe the 75 would be easier than the 90 but so far, not so.

not so much pics... even on such huge sites as pbase and flickr
it seems, people not use it very often (becouse of inconvenience on RF ? )
altough, photozone.de tested it on Nikon DSLR (another version, but same lens design), and regarded it's outstanding sharpness
