Sverdlovsk-6 lightmeter: a question ?

I just bought a Sverdlovsk-6 lightmeter, and I am puzzled with the black switch on its right side. What is it for??

Probably the battery check & calibration button if the -6 is anything like the -4.

I don't know. I was not able to use it as a battery check (I had that sugestion earlier) and I am not aware how should I calibrate it. .. Anyway I hope to have a translation from the Russian manual in a couple of weeks, that will hopefully remove any doubts. I will then make the translation available to all interested, if I suceed in getting it.
