Hi all, I just got a nice clean GSN and need to get a battery. I've figured out I need a PX-32a and wondered into Penn camera nad they told me they arn't made any more :( ... What are you guys and gals sticking in these things and where do you find them? Thanks, John

I'm using a Radio Shack 4LR44 (with a little wad of aluminum foil as a spacer).. works like a charm.. it also requires wrapping a little cardboard around it to keep it snug.. I think I just cut up a film box and wrapped one layer around the battery

here's some info for you...

A 4SR44 works too. It's the silver-oxide version of the 4LR44, supposed to keep it up for longer time but a bit more expensive. Mine works since more than a year. Same size adjustment needed as JoeFriday says.

It runs well with any 6V battery. Use a spring and some cardboard to fill the spaces.

Thanks all. I did the cardboard and aluminum foil trick as a test. It works fine. I will look for a good spring to replace the foil but I'm quite happy :p :p now. Thanks again....
