View Full Version : Coc values for Noct f1 and lux 75/1.4?
Anyone know these values, and if entered in dofmaster.com they provide accurate info.?
How about anyone who has made up laminated carry tables??
Thanks.

The calculator at the bottom of the page gives a CoC for 75mm of 0.038 if the Leica standard of 0.025 for 50mm is used.

Not sure I understand the question, Ted. Which format then, the M8 ? You can use film numbers and just multiply by the crop factor.
I want to use dofmaster (online) with both the Noct and the 75 lux to calculate near and far DOF my M6.
What value CoC do I use, and why? In the Leica M book they talk about values of .0013, where .02 or .025 seem to be used for most Leica lenses?
Thanks,
Ted

Whats a cock value?
The importance a woman gives to you ;)
so you are saying CoC is not related to DOF, only enlargement size?
Why not just use the Leica .pdf files on their website? They are ready-made and easily carried in a pocket. Yes CoC is dependent on enlargement size... what is in acceptable focus on a 4X6 will not be the same for an 8X12.
Noctilux .pdf (http://www.leica-camera.us/assets/file/download.php?filename=file_153.pdf)
Summilux 75 .pdf (http://www.leica-camera.us/assets/file/download.php?filename=file_149.pdf)
It depends what you want to do with it Ted. It's a standard to which DOF is measured, DOF scales are adjusted, etc. The allowed size of the COC on the medium, to be still in the "focusing area". In dofmaster, when you select 35mm film, they pick 0.03mm. Puts uses 0.033mm. I assume this is what Leica DOF lens scales are adjusted to.
Best,
Roland.
