Has anybody ever tried to equip a Zorki-body with a Kiev bayonet?
Due to the fact of simpler repair and RF adjustement but great Kiev lenses this heretic idea crossed my mind.
The body I would think of is a Zorki 4 (not that scarce). Is ist feasible or is it insane?
OK the next Franken-zorki I would think of is making a Sensorback for all those FSU rangefinders with unhinged backs that come of the body, thus keeping me to phantasize about simply clipping on a sensor.....
there was a zorki based cam with kiev bayonet but I can't remeber it's name and it was only given to special military person or somethimg like that.

These were made on an early FED/Zorki body but I think the Z4 would be a good platform as well!
What color are you going to paint this one?

.....not forgetting the extraordinary TSVVS 2, the supposed missing link between the Contax and the FED 2! - http://www.ussrphoto.com/Wiki/default.asp?ImageID=1082&ParentID=49&WikiCatID=50&ContentID=316

Thanks for your input folks!
Now lets get a junker Kiev for the bayonet!
You could also just get a readymade Contax to L39 bayonet adapter.

Then I would have less to wonder about and than ther would be no pretnse to destroy an old camera:D
by the way do you have a source for such an adapter?
There used to be a guy on eBay selling them every now and then. They usually went for $150 to $200. The mount came from dead Kievs, of course, and what remained of the cameras got sold by eBay dealers as parts cameras. I don't see any adapters on offer at the moment, but they are guaranteed to pop up again.
