Just one of those "yeah!" threads... :)

I finally got around to finishing the work of transplanting a Mamiya RZ screen into my newly CLA'd Rolleiflex Automat. It took some pretty good effort using razors, saws and grit #80 paper. If I can do it, anyone can.

It's much brighter now, but I have to run a test roll to be certain it really works as it should. And hopefully I put the screen in right way round.

Unfortunately, I can't show you, as I don't have a working digital camera at the moment.

Great - I did the same on my '49 Rolleiflex. It does make a massive difference in terms of brightness. My focus is still correct. Unfortunately it is rather softish, due to the dreaded "cleaning marks" on the Tessar (its a 5cm *coated one, rather rare). Nice for portraits though - Richard Hamilton by default;)
Have fun with your *new* Rollei!
cheers, Michael
