repost:
I want to share this, just a gallery on Flickr that I discovered last week and found stunning. If he is not a famous photographer (maybe he is), he surely is a great photographer: his name is Anhtu.
His gallery (http://flickr.com/people/anhtu/)
Three different kinds of pictures, all amzing:
swirly green girl (http://flickr.com/photos/anhtu/2116556831/)
playing kids (http://flickr.com/photos/anhtu/196019838/)
and my favorite:
mountain couple (http://flickr.com/photos/anhtu/217688004/)
This one is a masterpiece, Magnum like.
Maybe he's a RFF member too. Who knows him?

I know politicians do daft things, and even some of them on camera, but this is really daft:

Great stuff there, thank you.
I didn't have as much time as usual this past week to peruse the 'net, and I didn't see other pictures (outside of RFF) that jumped out at me. I did see plenty of good things on RFF, but that's for a different thread.
I'll try to do better this coming week.
Marc -- Thanks for sharing the link to Anhtu's flickr. I agree w/ you regarding "mountain couple."

What a brilliant idea!
Another great find Rob, thanks for sharing.
I agree with Nico, it's a brilliant idea Robert!!
Robert, Nico and anyone interested in the idea, do you want to try that this week? we take a self-portrait with strangers and we post it in a thread "portrait with strangers" next week. What do you think? Should be fun.
Ciao gli amici.

If I am not wrong Anhtu is an RFF member, I believe I 've seen him posting here before. He is doing excellent work. Very interesting choice of 35mm lenses too ;)
I went scouring through my flickr contacts and I think Swelter's (modest) output deserves a mention. My favourites are
Darkness: http://flickr.com/photos/swelter/1264923737/
Living in Oblivion: http://flickr.com/photos/swelter/477337345/
There's also a few photos from 70's Glasgow, some of them made with an M3 I think.
I agree with Nico, it's a brilliant idea Robert!!

A technical problem.
I have been trying out ideas and I cannot get my camera more than about 60cm away. Minimum focus is 70cm.
My arm is not long enough.
...c ould we use tripod and self-timer?
... do you think it works with a 12 mm?

as Marc would say ... a la guerre etc. etc.
I can't promise anything for this week but I'm in :) with my cv 21
