Hi,
I've been thinking about buying a Fed2 to try. They don't seem to be very expensive but I'm not sure if I'm comfortable buying on Ebay. So I have 2 questions.
1. Is there a regular Ebay seller that is trustworthy and can be recommened?
2. Is there a conventional retail (online or mail order) outlet that is a reliable source for one of these cameras.
Any help is appreciated.

Yuri is friendly and I have had good luck with him. Also fast shipping. Compared to evilBay he looks pricy but it's a safer transaction as he will work with you.
And maybe a few other FSU nick-knacks, too.
They are nice cameras and my bodies have been CLAed here in the US by a good repairman so they are light tight and photo-worthy.
I don't use them very much lately and they are on my shelf collecting dust.
PM me with your email address and I can send you some digital photos showing condition etc.
I've cameras from both Oleg and Yuri, both are highly recommended.........Robin

Thanks to everyone for the info. I want to try one of these cameras and I don't mind spending a few extra bucks for one that I can be pretty sure is in working condition. There are many posted on Ebay, but I don't get a warm fuzzy feeling about the individual items. Plus it's my understanding that even brand new, these cameras were not always in working order.
I have been checking the links you all provided and I'm sure that's a better way to go.
Thanks

I recommend you deal with the guy that has one posted in the classifieds right now.
I've known him a long time and trust him completely.
:-)
I too have found both Oleg and Yuri to be reliable and fast.

I've only ever bought Fed-2's from RFF members. I happen to have an entire kit for sale right now:
