I was in a nearby city recently and saw an old guy juxtapositioned nicely with a sign as below:

I then moved quickly to just grab this one:

The second one is obviously less sharp since I was "on the move". My questions are:
is the less sharp one acceptable in terms of quality, and which works better as an image out of the pair?

The second.

Sharpness is not everything.

The second; everybody's moving, including (for better or worse) you.

The second one, because you are closer to your subject.

From a content point of view I'm torn. For the first one I like th elook because the guy is walking and almost mirrors Will Smiths pose in the poster. However, I like the second because the guy looks like he really could be the last man on earth. Thanks for the opinions, keep them coming!

The first. The second had too much motion blur.
