I just bought a Zorki-6 with a Industar 50mm/F3.5. When I look at the front element of the lens with a 8 X magnifier, I see something like bubbles at the outer range. (Sorry, have no pictures of it -- it would need far better macro photo capabilities than I have.)

Could this be traces of fungi? Because some comments in other treads here on RFF gives me the conclusion that fungi can make some sort of corrosive effect.

Or is it only USSR quality in lens production?

I bought the camera and lens on eBay from Ukraina for 53 USD / 38 EUR including shipping and handling. The camera is (otherwise) in working order, so I think that is a rather good price. I am not complaining.

Normally, fungus starts with oily spots and then shows as filaments.
But then, I have seen many different incarnations of fungus (even those that were not fungus at all). ;)

jussi-paavo welcome to the forum! :) Sounds like bubbles. I have a Jupiter-11 and a Jupiter-8 with bubbles... Theyre fine!
