focusing ring suddenly became tight ...

Greetings !

Today I noticed that the focusing ring on my 21mm f2.8 Elmarit has become stiff / tight. It does not move smoothly as it did yesterday. While turning the ring it also moves the aperture ring.

I was wondering whether any of you have encountered similar issues .. if so any ideas how I can get it fixed ?

Has the lens been dropped or received a bump or bang? I had this happen to a lens and it bent the helical focusing. I sent it off to Sherry Krauter for repair
