Many of the more "ordinary" photographs were shown a bit earlier at the Gray Gallery at NYU, and frankly they were as amazing as the more well known work.

Just read about this: really sorry I missed the retrospective at the Met. One of my favorite photographers, and, IMO, one of the most misunderstood.
