Not a bad price for a piece of Leica gear :-)

Will we ever see an M Leica with laser rangefinder and autofocus?

Yes it will have to be eye safe, and an IR beam would be better for covert use.

Now there's something to annoy your subject when you try to focus on the eye!

I guess it's as much fun as an AF-assist light and anti-red-eye preflash..

Sony had that on a digicam (F707 IIRC) and while it was accurate as all get out the manual asked that you not point it in someone's eyes at close range. Kind of looked like a barcode scanner grid.
