View Full Version : Pricing for a Photoset

A local restaurant is about to reopen after a major refurbish.
They want photos, and they want me to do them.
I don't know what exactly they want yet but I suspect it will be architectural interiors.
Anyway, the pricing - they are friends and neighbors. When I do them a simple short letter translation from Portuguese to English I charge them 'one beer' that's usual here.
I'm thinking of doing a set of six photos and charging them 'one dinner for two people'. My costs are a film and processing and about thirty minutes on location perhaps.
Bear in mind they are friends and neighbors, we live in a poor country, but they are the best restaurant in the city.
Does a dinner for two sound about right?

Thank you for the photo appreciation. I've timetabled myself some time back there tomorrow afternoon if the light is right.

Nikonhswebmaster:
How did you put my photo in your post?
Your code was http://my-expressions.com/up_media/3659/pblog/4436/1196495421.jpg
It's my site / blog and I've never worked out how to do this.

you use the image tag "" which is then closed by the same tag with a forward stroke. ""
The full URL of the image, including the "http" must be between the two tags. There should be no spaces.

Thank you. I get that bit, but how did you generate the URL for the photo?

Does a dinner for two sound about right?Yes - and your name on the photos (the frame, whatever). The best restaurant in town sounds like a place where visibility might be a good thing.
...Mike
Jon,
That sounds like an ideal exchange. A very warm and friendly exchange of talents that this time of year should encourage.

I'm still trying to get the URL for a photo from my site / blog so I can show it here full size.
I cannot right click as I am using a Mac.
I've tried option click and so on but no joy.
Does anybody know how to do it on a Mac?

First thing to do is crack open that Apple manual and read it. Then go buy a new Apple mouse with a right button, all the new Apple mice have are four button, and a scroll ball.
But it is as noted control-click is you are using an old mouse.
There is so much hidden in that right click, you will be amazed :) :) :)
...or buy most any after-market mouse and save some money. I've been using Logitech wireless mice with my Macs for years.
