Here is something interesting: On that large auction site in Cameras category sub- category vintage, item no. 360000736111, is a camera listed as a Robot Luftewaffe camera. There are a lot of pictures one shows the luftewaffen eigentum stamp as also seen on the Leica cameras used by the Luftewaffe.

Anyway, due to the wide ranging interest of people in the RFF, I thought there would be some interest in this camera at least from a historical and informational perspective.

This thread might be of interest with regard to this camera, as it features a wartime Robot advertisement from a rather unusual Luftwaffe publication....

Thanks for the link, Ian. The Robot site is fascinating. That camera is quite a mechanism and shows some original thinking.

Steve,

PS the auction has ended, but the ad can still be found by searching vintage cameras with key word "Luftwaffe".

Luftwaffe Robots are surprisingly common, as a percentage of all Robots, and command less of a premium than one might expect. I've had a couple (out of maybe 5 Robots) and they're quite fun. The only Robot I'd really like to try now is one that I've never owned: the Royal 36.

Cheers,

R.
