ok, by me it is now friday night, the 30th of november, around 7:15 p.m.
sorry for the last minute notice...
tomorrow i will head out with my new cv 75/2.5 mounted on my zi with new zeiss grip, i will likely shoot the indoor farmer's market as it's too cold to shoot outdoors (i have a cold & sore throat).
anyone up for a 75mm shoot out?
use 90 if you don't have a 75!
joe

If 85 is OK I'm in :)
85 is more than ok!
rollie, was it you that brought the domke 5xa bag to our attention?
i have to say that for one camera/one lens and some film it is a great bag.

what was i thinking...must be the cold pills!
An obvious question has to be ... what about the M8 and RD-1 shooters with a 75mm lens? 1.33 cropp factored M8 equals 100mm and the Epson at 1.5 equals 112mm. :p

and if they shoot with a 50?
Wish I had a 75 for my R. Been some nice Canon 85s on ebay lately. Looking foward to seeing some good shots.

Good for the RD-1 but still only 65mm for the M8 ... I suppose as long as we know which camera was used when viewing the image it doesn't really matter. It is a characteristic of the camera after all and can't be changed! You could make it for film only ... but that would start a war! :p

no wars, please.
i would say that anything that has a similar angle of view as a 75/85/90 on a 35mm film camera would be good.

I don't do telephoto on RF.
Can I do normal on an RF and crop? Or telephoto on an OM (cousin to RF)?

snowing here and -20c...
never finished my roll of film yesterday and dreading even walking the dog today, tomorrow wont be any better.
How does the 85 feel on the R? I have a serenar 135 and it's a brick? I think this is the route I'll go anyhow. The 135 takes fantastic photos.
I tend to use the 90 framelines of my R when I'm using the Jupiter 9--85mm--seems to keep me from losing important edge details and I can adjust later to exclude unimportant ones if I need to.
Rob
The jupitar 9 is another great lens I may consider. Probably lighter than the canon. I forgot about using 90 fL on the R. Thats great to here. Wait the R don't have 90 frame lines...I gotta run look!
Yea it does with the 35. Boy my mind isn't working too good today is it? Guess thats what happens when you shoot too much wide I guess.
Here are some of mine, taken Sat night at our dinner party after cooking (Nikkor 85/2):

Fuji Press 800.
Best,
Roland.
I got a few this weekend, but was only happy enough with this shot to post amongst my fellow RFF'rs.
First let me reiterate what a great idea from joe!!
Had another thought as well........... how about a "last minute shootout" for the remainder of December. Dare I compare this to " Iron Chef"?? Let's call it something different and a bit more original, but the pretext the same..... "back alley" picks a certain focal length on Friday afternoon and we post the results say Sunday evening at ????? Just a thought and of course a bit more loosely regulated with crop factors and all...................
Anyway this is a 75/2 Summicron ASPH with the M8. Please be kind :)
Best,
Sherm
