Spain is not always warm. Here are some shots with the M8 at just beside home.

The first two are shot with the 24mm Elmarit and the rest with the 50mm Sum Asph.

The 24mm is incapable of flaring it seems. :)

I must say I especially like the composition and colours in #3 of the first set. I also quite like the detail (small bits of green poking through the ice) in #2 of the 2nd set.

Wow, those are nice. #3 and 5 are my favorites. You clearly know how to use the light to its best advantage.

Great shots, you nailed the exposure perfectly.

Excellent exposure, composition and light. It is called hoarfrost. Happens with high humidity and freezing temperature.

Thanks Chuckcars for the english word. I am used to see hoarfrost but dont even know the exact word in spanish. (The translation of hoarfrost in my dictionary doesnt convince me).
For me it is the equivalent of "horizontal rain" but in freezing conditions,
There where low clouds licking the crests of the mountains and it was very cold.
Whenever I see the mountains in winter like in this photograph (its north wind at home) I climb up there because its beautiful.

Well abumac, dont tell me you have lived somewhere arround here!!!. I live just at the base of the mountains , near Navacerrada village. This is a small Sierra compared to many others but it is lovely, specially in winter. Thanks for your photos and if you return some day we could walk and shoot.

Hi, I am still living in Madrid. I know the Sierra very well. I just have published a book about Sierra de Guadarrama en Tren y Autobus en Desnivel.
