Is there one, or is there something I can use? I need to take many shots of myself and my girlfriend over the next couple of months when we go on road trips and etc. I want to use my ZI rather than a DSLR with built-in self timer.

Or does my Zeiss Ikon have a self timer that I do not know about.

Look up on the bay, I once bought a universal self timer made in China. It was a real piece of junk, but it should work for some time... as an alternative, you could buy a long cable release, or wanting to be more sophisticated, one of these remote release devices designed for nature photographers.

In the past I have used a universal self timer (it screws into the shutter release) made by Prinz. It was very well made and still works. If you can find one of that era (late 70s or earlier), it is a good gadget.
