Anyone heard of Schmap? One of my photos was chosen....

I got an email that one of my photos was " short-listed for inclusion in the fourth edition of our Schmap Berkeley Guide" (www.schmap.com). No big deal as the rest of the email says:

While we offer no payment for publication, many
photographers are pleased to submit their photos, as Schmap
Guides give their work recognition and wide exposure, and
are free of charge to readers.

How nice...

Anyone know anything about them?

Would like to know also... sometimes I'm weary about receiving emails I don't expect.

It is just a scam to use your photos for free, admittedly a rather benign one. It appeals to the vanity of the photographer. Because I have so many 9/11 photos on the web, I get one of these every month.

Never heard of them, but if they're making money on this, their photographers should make money too.

Go look at the site; their effort for Portland, Ore., is pretty lame and spotty. Can't tell if it means to be a business or someone's well-ntentioned effort.
